GROWING THE GAME
Arlington Field Hockey in partnership with Thompson Field Hockey are helping grow the game (not that we need help with that in Arlington Virginia!). AFH is offering a series of small group clinics to help beginners learn the sport. A clinic for younger kids and one for older kids playing in high school (including 8th graders).
In addition, these clniics will offer an opportunity to teach volunteer coaches techniques in coaching the sport of field hockey.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN INTRODUCTION TO FIELD HOCKEY HERE ARE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:
SUNDAY JULY 26 - At Bishop O'Connell High School
11A- 1PM = youth small group, beginner clinic. $80
$80/participant (3rd grade - 7th grade)
11A- 1PM = Coaching clinic, simultaneously offered.
Free for coaches - observe and learn, discuss and ask questions about coaching new young players.
2:30PM - 4:30PM = High School/Middle School, beginner clinic.
$80/participant (8th grade - high school) $80
2:30PM - 4:30PM = High School/Middle School, Coaching clinic.
Free for coaches - observe and learn, discuss and ask questions about coaching new high school players.
MONDAY JULY 27 - At Bishop O'Connell High School
3:30PM- 5PM = small group clinic for advanced players $80
$80/participant (6th grade - 12th grade, 3-4 years of club/travel field hockey)
3:30PM- 5PM = Coaching clinic.
Free for coaches - observe and learn, discuss and ask questions about coaching advanced players.
Option to add an additional clinic from 5P - 7PM if people are interested.
